Ensuring access to premises is restricted to authorised persons is more important now than it has ever been. IDS Fire and Security utilise the relevant NSI codes of practice for the design and installation of any access control system.
IDS Fire and Security utilise the latest, state of the art, intercom and video entry systems to provide visitor identification in situations where security is paramount.
Authorised entry into the building can be acheived by utilising any of the following products; swipe cards, proximity cards, coded keypad or biometric readers. Egress from any building is acheived by either door handle or electronic switch mechanism as appropriate. Note all locking mechansims should be considered as part of a fire strategy and where necessary considered to be part of an emergency evacuation procedure.
The IDS Fire and Security range of access control units can start with a simple one door system or grow to a sophisticated solution managing thousands of doors. The system can also have the ability to grant access to tens of thousands of authorised users managed via a local or networked PC.
New legislation in force means that an access control system must consider the DDA during design stages. IDS Fire and Security will always help to advise it's clients on appropriate products and installation methods for DDA solutions.
